Food and drink
What do you serve?
Wagyu sukiyaki and wagyu shabu-shabu are our main dishes. We use kuroge wagyu, chiefly Hayama Wagyu raised nearby on the Miura peninsula, and serve it with a house broth drawn from kombu kelp and dried bonito. Side dishes are built from seasonal produce, including vegetables grown in Kamakura.
What is the difference between sukiyaki and shabu-shabu?
In sukiyaki, thin slices of beef are simmered in a sweet broth so the meat takes on its flavour. In shabu-shabu, the beef passes through the broth for a few seconds so that its own character comes forward. Both use the same Hayama Wagyu.
Do you serve sake?
Yes. Our sake is sealed at the brewery immediately after pressing, by a method that keeps it from air and light until the moment it is poured. We also offer a pairing that matches a freshly pressed sake to each course of the meal.
Can you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?
Please tell us about any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance when booking, and we will let you know what we are able to accommodate.

Yes. The Japanese garden is visible from the dining rooms. Pines surround the pond alongside a yukimi stone lantern, and the view changes with each season.
Is smoking allowed?
The restaurant is entirely non-smoking.
Do we take off our shoes?
Yes. The dining rooms are tatami-floored, so we ask guests to remove their shoes on arrival. We hope you will understand.

There is no dress code. As you will be removing your shoes, footwear that is easy to slip off may be most comfortable.
